SUSAN JANE EAKINS
(KLASSEN)
April 27, 1943 – December 13, 2021
On Monday, December 13 in Riverview Health Centre, after a long courageous battle with cancer, Susan passed away peacefully with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert (Tom) Eakins; brother Peter and sister Marian. She will be sadly missed by son Michael; grandson Miles; great-granddaughter Serenity; and brothers, Philipp (Sheila), Jack (Nellie), Abe and John (Margie).
Susan had a successful career with Ackland Granger in the payroll departments for over 30 years. She had a great love of animals, especially cats, rescuing and fostering many during her life. Her greatest pride and joy in life, being her great-granddaughter Serenity.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Children's Hospital.

I had the pleasure of meeting Susan a year and a 1/2 ago with whra. I was her home support worker. She was always so kind and funny.
