My heart is filled with great sadnes at the loss of a man I'm proud to have had the pleasure of knowing. His cheeky smiles contagious laugh, big heart, took me in years ago when I was at dark area of life. It wasn't just me there were many Gordon wouldn't give up on. Mid way through covid I reached out to Gord see how he was with the lock down and as like everything negative put a positive spin. He gave a chuckle and said ah well now I can work on my memoirs. I hope to read one day. I ASKED Gordon many times when are you going to stop working. I believe today I got his answer. Mr Gordon Brian Mcdiarmid it was a truly huge honour to have had the pleasure of being your friend in life. You will be missed and not forgotten. To his family and friends my heart goes out to you as well. - Posted by: keith barrette (friend ) on: Dec 20, 2021

I am so sad to learn of Gordon's passing. Gordon and I worked for a couple of years on our respective writing projects, jointly researching the history of our families who were connected through many building projects in the early 1900s. I was happy to receive Gordon's finished product "We Were Builders", which he was able to complete before his passing. To Gordon's family, please accept my deepest sympathies. He will be missed. - Posted by: BRIAN Borgford (Friend) on: Dec 18, 2021
