March 23, 1945 to December 18, 2021
Dorene was predeceased by her parents Elma and George and brother Andy.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband David, her daughter Laurie, her daughter Sheila (Bob), daughter Mavis (Mario), her grandchildren, Amanda, Melanie (Brandon), Mathew (Kristen), Marisa and Marc and her two great grandchildren William and Amelia. She will be also missed by David's children Darcy (Doris), Russell (Jennifer), Karen (Ron) and two step-grandchildren Taylor (Justin) and Riley (Melanie). Also fondly remembered by her first husband, Harry Hawryshko (Sylvia). Dorene will be missed by her special sister, her brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.
Dorene enjoyed dancing, listening to Ukrainian music, playing cards and spending time with her family.
As per Dorene's wishes, cremation will take place and her ashes will be placed at the Vassar Cemetery, next to her mother, in the summer of 2022. Donations may be made to the Hillside Lutheran Cemetery in her memory.

Our family has such fond memories of Dorene, she provided day care for our children in their early years and was much loved by both. She was such a special, kind, caring lady.
