GERALDINE KRYM
(nee ROTH)
Geraldine was born on October 20, 1933 in Beiseker, Alberta, daughter of Chris and Pauline Roth (nee Leiske). Geraldine had two brothers and four sisters, and was the last surviving sibling. She married Fred Krym of Rosser, Manitoba in 1959, spending her life farming and working as a health care aide.
She was a member of the Silver Heights Seventh-day Adventist church in Winnipeg, where she taught Sabbath School to generations of children and was the church organist. Geraldine was a kind, compassionate soul with a good sense of humour. Her life touched many people who will miss her deeply.
Geraldine was predeceased by her husband Fred in 2009. Geraldine leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Valerie (Russell MacDonald), son Lynden (Donna), grandchildren, Chantelle, Justin, Ashley, Daria, and Natalia, great-grandchildren, Harper and Marshall, and many nieces and nephews.
The family extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care in her final weeks.

Sister Krym was one of two significant musical influences in my life. Always an encouraging word in my organ playing. Also my VBS teacher for many years. Who as a child doesn't treasure her invites to legendary sleigh rides and corn roasts at the farm. My condolences to especially Valerie and Lynden. May she rest in HIM. - Posted by: Johnson Philip (Friend of the family) on: Jan 11, 2022

My condolences to the Krym family for the loss of their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Krym. I will always remember Mrs. Krym for her gentle demeanor and warm smile. I speak fondly of going out to the farm with the church and having such a wonderful time there. Many years, after moving away and starting my own family, I took my children back to the farm to meet the late Mr. Krym and Mrs. Krym. We were warmly welcomed. Although I will only have pictures to remind me of this beautiful lady, I look forward to reuniting in heaven with her and Mr. Krym. - Posted by: Patricia Pascal-Salkey (family friend) on: Jan 08, 2022

Condolences to the Krym family for the loss of a kind and loving matriarch (Geraldine). In addition to her gentle demeanor, Sis. Krym will be remembered for her dedication to the Seventh-Day Adventist Churches here in Winnipeg, particularly at the Silver Heights SDA Church. Her care for the children and her many contributions to the Children's Sabbath School Department are amongst our most cherished memories. - Posted by: Ian & Jackie Mighty (Church family ) on: Jan 06, 2022

Mrs Krym faithfully taught our children in Sabbath School, showing kindness and patience always with a smile. She exemplified the life of Christ in always sharing her gifts with both young and old. Every spring she would introduce the boys and girls to gardening as she would bring tomato plants for each child to grow at home. She gave valuable advice to new mothers regarding how to teach our children to be attentive listeners as they worshipped in church. We have benefitted from her love and expertise in music both vocal and instrumental as she passed those gifts to her children and grandchildren. Faithful loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, friend—truly one of God’s daughters. - Posted by: Olive Nimblett (Member of same congregation) on: Jan 05, 2022
