PAULINE ANNE STARODUB
Pauline was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary Shajeski, her husband Peter, her son Mark, her son-in-law Louis, and her brother Henry. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne and Maryanne, her sons, Peter (Jacquie), Gregory (Lorraine), daughter-in-law Charlene, grandchildren, Elizabeth, Caitlin, and Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.
Pauline was a wonderful cook, always giving a doggie bag to her children. We will miss her many recipes which always ended up being the best.
Pauline worked as the postmaster in Gonor and later was a cashier at the Safeway in Selkirk. She was a member of the Women's Catholic League at Notre Dame church where she enjoyed cooking for countless church events.
After a lengthy illness, she resided at Red River Place and we would like to thank all the nurses at Red River Place for taking such good care of our mother.
A memorial mass and interment will be held at a later date.
Private cremation has taken place.
No flowers - donations may be made to the no kill animal shelter of your choice.
Condolences may be left on her tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

To Peter, Maryanne, Joanne and Greg, my heartfelt sympathies go out to you all. I am so sorry for your loss. Auntie Polly was someone who had a great sense of humour and a quick wit about her. I still remember when they owned the store in Gonor and when we as young kids came to visit, she would always let us go and pick out a soft drink from the store. We were so excited to be able to do that. Over 50 years ago, she introduced me to pizza and told me it was good for me. Simple things but great memories. She passed on Dad’s birthday and boy there must have been a great celebration in Heaven that day. She lived a very long and fulfilling life and it was a blessing when she was called to God. Cherish all the wonderful memories you made with her throughout her lifetime. Rob, Linda and Stephanie - Posted by: Rob Starodub (Nephew) on: Jan 04, 2022
