ELISABETH "BETTY" STOPA
Betty passed away peacefully on January 6, 2022 at Riverpark Gardens PCH in Winnipeg.
Predeceased by her husband Mike, daughter Tawnja and grandson Nic Tardiff.
She is survived by her granddaughter Thalia; daughters Angela and Valerie, son-In-Law Tim Tardiff; sisters Tina and Anne, brothers, Peter (Katie), Jake and John (Sharon); as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
Betty was born September 15, 1935 in Rosengard Manitoba. She moved to Sperling Manitoba where she met husband Mike. In 1953 they were married. They moved to Carman where they lived for many years.
Approximately 20 years ago Betty moved to Winnipeg. Betty loved to travel, play cards, crib and "Pick up sticks". Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. In her younger years she was very active in the Carman Legion. She was a great baker and could be seen selling her pies at the farmers market with her friend Elaine. Betty lived at River Park Gardens for the past 3 years, where she was surrounded by love, care and compassion.
Betty will be missed, but remembered for the loving, trusting, forgiving, kind person that she was.
Funeral service will be held in Doyle's Funeral Home, Carman. Interment will take place in Carman Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to River Park Gardens, 735 St. Anne's Rd., Wpg, MB, R2N 0C4.
