STANLEY (STAN) HOWARD KENSICK
May 7, 1931 - January 20, 2022

My dear husband Stan, and paternal hero to Cathi (Craig), Judy (Mike), John and Rob, has journeyed on to a better place.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Jarrett (Amber), Jen (Mike), Calin (Christina), Jesi, Chaye (Tanner), Dylan (Taylor); five great-grandchildren, Grayson, Nash, Charlotte, Elle and Easton; and many nieces and nephews. Born in Winnipeg, he was predeceased by his parents and all seven siblings.
Stan worked at Moore Business Forms for 45 years, started in the Prelim department, moved on to Personnel and ended his career in Sales, where, because of his achievements, we enjoyed many memorable trips. He loved all sports, played baseball as a youth and golf later on. Two days before his passing, he watched his beloved Jets on TV.
Stan was a generous soul with a quick wit. On a daily basis he modelled friendliness, integrity and kindness. He outlived many of his dear friends and very much appreciated his remaining companions. He was a mindful listener and as such, provided wonderful advice to me, the kids and the grandchildren. Over the past year he tried so hard to remember details, but the unforgiving illness of dementia stole most of his memories and sense of humour. There are so many who delighted in Stan's company and he will be forever missed.
A memorial service will be held at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, on Friday, February 11 at 1:00 p.m. for immediate family only due to pandemic restrictions. A live webcast can be viewed at www.neilbardalinc.com on Stan's memorial page. A Celebration of Life reception will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Harvest.

Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • I just found out today and I would like to say - Thelma and Family. I am very sorry for the loss of one of the most wonderful people who entered my life as a young girl. He taught me a lot. Stan helped me through so many things while working with him at Moore Business Forms on Sherwin Williams. I remembered seeing him many years later after we worked together at the Assiniboine Clinic where we were both getting blood work done. We had a very nice visit and each time I was there I would look for him. He was a wonderful human being. Thelma - hold on to all the wonderful precious memories to help you get through the rough times. (which I am sure is often). Hugs from an old friend from Moore. - Posted by: Lori Sidoryk (Co-worker) on: May 26, 2022
