It is with sadness that my Aunt Minny and I say good-bye to our friend Vera. The last two summers we met outside in the sunshine and the fresh air between the blocks on a grassy spot for a sing song. Vera loved to sing and play her Omnichord while I strummed my guitar and one of the other ladies played the tambourine. She would load up a cart with her instrument, a chair, a book stand and her large book of songs to share with us. We will miss her cheerful smile but because we know that she has trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior that, we do not grieve as others do but have the hope of seeing her again one day soon! Our prayers go out to her family who were her pride and joy and she loved talking about them. Her name was written in the Lambs book of life and everyone who wants to be sure of eternity can be sure. It's so easy! The Bible says to repent of our sins and believe and receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. - Posted by: Ruth Hince and Minny Wiebe (Friends) on: Jan 29, 2022

When I visited Vera a couple of weeks ago, she was expressing how grateful she was that her son and daughter-in-law had been so faithful in getting her to doctor's appointments and hospital tests. She remained positive in her attitude and was still planning craft projects. She had her Bible and devotional books near her, and told how she would end every day by reciting the Lord's prayer and then just talking to God. It was always fun to see her in church wearing whatever she had chosen as the colour of the month. - Posted by: Clara Penner (friend) on: Jan 27, 2022

My condolences to the family. I will dearly miss her conversations we had on the phone, she was a great friend. We would talk about our knitting, what colours we would use, what balls of yarn we had and needed. She will leave a big void in my life. May she Rest In Peace Elaine Hooper - Posted by: Elaine Hooper (Friend) on: Jan 25, 2022

We would like to send out condolences to Vera's family. I (Flo) met bubbly Vera while working at a Federal Gov't Dept. She was always Friendly, full of laughter. After retirement, she tried to get me to join her Red Hat Club. She never had dull moments. I know about her having Spiritual love for her family and friends. RIP my friend..
