Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCURTIS: Yvonne Rosamond (Howell). Yvonne passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Place on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Yvonne was born on July 21, 1933 in Brandon, MB where she lived her whole life. Yvonne completed her schooling at McLaren School and BCI. Early on she worked for Brandon Packers, was then employed as a bookkeeper at Eaton's and finished her career at Modern Dairies. Yvonne married Wesley Curtis and they had 44 years together until Wes's passing in 1998. Yvonne was a devoted Christian and active member of St. George's Anglican Church. She was a member of the 10-pin Bowling league and enjoyed the weekly games and socializing with team mates. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and regularly attended the Saturday meat draws with family and friends. Yvonne took up travelling, with sister-in-law Margaret Howell, and went on several cruises to various locations. Most important was spending time with family, where she would never turn down an opportunity to visit. Yvonne was pre-deceased by her husband Wesley; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Margaret Howell; brother-in-law Larry Curtis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marion and Bill Randall and nephew, Rodney Randall. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Frank (Sharon) Curtis, Shayne (Nancy) Curtis, Michelle (Al) Ratcliffe; her brother, Len (Shirley) Howell; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren as well as her nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Yvonne's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Yvonne may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 4B-457-9th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 1K2 or to St. Georges Anglican Church, 1011 5th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 3M1.
