HELEN SCHWARZ
1921-2022

On Friday, January 20, Helen Schwarz, caring wife, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at Donwood Manor at the age of 100. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Helen was born on August 6, 1921 in Romania. After immigrating to Canada, she met her husband, Gustav Schwarz. Together they had a son, Vern and twin girls, Barbara and Linda. Helen is survived by her two children, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gus; daughter Linda and six sisters.
Helen enjoyed cooking, baking, needlepoint and started each day with a daily mass, and ended each day in prayer. A strong woman, she was also a key partner in helping run the family business.
Helen will be missed dearly by her family, and all who knew and loved her.
We are especially grateful to all the caring and compassionate people at Donwood Manor. They are angels and saints who made all the difference maximizing the quality of her last years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army Crossbridge, 1390 Roy Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 1E6.
