WILLIAM (BILL) JOHN ERICKSON

William (Bill) John Erickson, passed away on January 8, 2022, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with his loving daughter Alexandria by his side.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Helen and his sister Shannon.
He is survived by his children, Alexandria (Nick) Benson, Matthew (Kirsty) Muller; siblings, Lynne (Scott), Steven (Terry Lynn); and niece Kailee (Todd); as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins; and he will be missed by his many lifelong friends in the Lundar and Interlake areas.
Bill was born on August 8, 1958 in Eriksdale, MB. Bill will be remembered for his sense of humour and love of family. Bill was involved in many sports in and around the Interlake area those being hockey, curling, baseball and his other love, golf. Bill started working for Manitoba Hydro in the 1980s in the Interlake area, later moving to the U.S. He was a member of the local #1393 IBEW for over 35 years and he was very proud of his profession as a hydro lineman, which took him many places throughout the U.S. Bill grew up in Winnipeg in Brooklands of which there were many fond memories he often spoke of. As kids we would spend most weekends in Lundar with Mom, Dad and family growing his connection to Lundar.
In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place and a service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.

Goda nott Elskan.

  • Bill you were a great brother you always had my back as a kid. I will always remember the good times and there were many, watching you curl, playing baseball, referring hockey to name a few. Our weekends going out to Lundar with Mom, Dad, Shannon and me those were great times. The days pass and I still can't believe your gone but now you have no pain and are at peace with Mom, Dad and Shannon. Love you bro. - Posted by: Lynne McGibney (Sister) on: Mar 03, 2022
