RICHARD SOMMERFELD
1929 – 2022
Peacefully, on January 27, 2022, Richard passed away at age 92.
Richard will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 69 years, Pauline; children, Juergen (Ronalee), Harry (Ann), Karin (Jack) and Ralph (Daunna); grandchildren, Tyler (Lucy), Sean, Megan, Ariana (Anton), Ryan and Drew; great-grandchild, Emmett.
A service will be held by invitation. A live webcast can be viewed at www.neilbardalinc.com on Richard's memorial page. The family invites all to join in on the webcast.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Riverview Health Centre, Unit AB1.

Habe Richard und Paula vor einigen Jahren beim Besuch in Deutschland kennengelernt. Heute durch Zufall im Internet habe ich gelesen, dass er 2023 verstorben ist. Mein Vater, Richards Vetter Jahrgang 1930 ist 2021 an Bauchspeicheldrüsenkrebs verstorben. Meine Mutter Lotte Bossert, lebt noch und wird im Mai 95 Jahre alt. Wir haben nicht gewusst, dass Richard verstorben ist. Ich habe Richard kennengelernt als einen sehr intelligenten, lustigen und liebenswerten Menschen. Den wir alle mochten..leider habe ich ihn nur 2 x gesehen, wenn er auf Besuch bei seiner Schwester in Deutschland war. Sollte seine Frau Paula noch leben, liebe Grüße. It is with great sadness that Richard has passed. It was our pleasure to have been a part of his life. He was a walking encyclopaedia of knowledge about our family relationships. He was my mother’s 1st cousin. Richard was a devoted husband and good Christian friend who I very much respected.
