ABE BROESKY
MARCH 11, 1939 JANUARY 26, 2022
He is survived by his spouse Helen; their daughter Laverna; four sons: Stan, Jeff, Harv and Glen; and two daughters-in-law: Sandra and Susan. He will be remembered by sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, many siblings, and their spouses.
You may know our dad for his variety of entrepreneur adventures and accomplishments, starting as a butcher for IGA, opening stores, restaurant, car dealership and retiring on the diary farm. Or for all his work as a volunteer: at the church, at the Thrift Store, serving at Birchwood only to list a few.
BUT.
Whenever we will cast that reel, auger that ice hole, sit by a roaring fire, go camping, fire up that lumber mill, or sing the oldies, WE will not only be remembering our dad, but missing him dearly.
Dad taught us: never to be afraid of a new challenge, as much as that head thinks, hard work always prevails; and dad you worked hard right to your very last breath.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for the family this summer.
If friends so desire donations in memory of Abe may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
