STADNYK: Mary. With great sadness, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, with family by her side, at the age of 93 years. Mary was born in Saskatchewan, daughter of parents Petrus and Maria, and moved to Brandon, where she resided until her passing. Mary was predeceased by her parents and son Raymond. She is survived by her daughter Virginia; sons: Kinney, Bernie and Melvin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary worked in the hospitality area at the Prince Edward Hotel and later at the Red Oak Inn, when she retired in February of 1994. In retirement, Mom always looked forward to spring, when she could start her plantings. Her home was always ablaze with flowers of every colour. Mom had a heart of gold, treasured her friendships, could talk to anyone and was always willing to share. She loved to have visitors, especially family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren where she always made a point of giving a "going away treat". Mom, we will miss you. You will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. Due to current health restrictions, a Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at a later date.
