AMBROISE (JOHNNY) LAJOIE
December 28, 1928 - January 26, 2022
Always in our hearts, Ambroise (Johnny) Lajoie, peacefully passed away, on January 26, 2022, at the age of 93 at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria of 69 years; his children, Gerry (Karan), Donna (Jim), Sheila (Glen), and Brian; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He farmed for many years, then retired and purchased a cottage in Ontario, where they spent many summers fishing, hunting, picking berries, enjoying lots of company and playing cards. His favourite past times were to watch Blue Jay's baseball, game shows, birdwatching, cutting firewood, gardening, cutting grass on his John Deere mower then relaxing on the deck with a beer! Dad spent a lot of time on his quad checking on his neighbours, mom never knew where he was, but was never late for meals.
Thanks to all the staff at the Ste. Anne Hospital and the Villa Youville for taking such good care of him. A special thank you to Soeur Rioux for all the extra time she spent with him.
Cremation has taken place with a private ceremony to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Stars Air Ambulance at stars.ca or a charity of your choice.
