KEITH WILLIAM POWLS
March 1, 1941 January 29, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce Keith's peaceful passing at the Health Sciences Centre on January 29, 2022, at the age of 80. His health had been declining over the past few years which contributed to his losing battle with Covid.
He will be greatly missed and always remembered by his loving partner and best friend, Linda Slade. He was a wonderful and much loved brother to Valerie (Edward) Speers of Ottawa, and a kind and loving uncle to his nephew Craig Speers, London England, Linda's family, Don Slade and family, Marilyn (Jim) Henderson and family will miss him greatly. He will also be lovingly remembered by his cousins, Ann (Dan) Reed, Tony (Gail) Powls, Bob Powls, their families and several cousins in the U.K.
Keith was born in Colchester, England and moved to Winnipeg with his family in 1948. He resided here for the duration of his life. He was a Chartered Professional Accountant for many years and was also a volunteer treasurer with the OCD for some time.
He was a longtime member of the Wildwood Club where he was involved in both golf and curling. He was also a longtime supporter of the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre as well as a supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Winnipeg Goldeyes. Keith was an avid reader and had an abundance of books which he treasured.
His family is grateful to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre D4 for the care they gave to Keith during his final illness and for the support they gave to both Linda and Valerie.
If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of their choice.

Uncle Keith was always great to us kids. Every family gathering he would spend hours with us playing all sorts of boards games and puzzles. Our condolences to Linda and Valerie. - Posted by: Christine Powls (Family) on: Feb 09, 2022
