STANLEY JAMES (JIM) MUDRY
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, grandpa, Big Papa and brother on February 4, 2022.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his children, Andria (Tim) Gudmundson and Byron (Kim) Mudry; grandchildren, Joshua, Owen, Annalea, Riley and Quinn and brother Eddie. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Elsie Mudry.
Jim was a proud north end boy who loved Ukrainian food, played hockey and delivered papers for the Free Press. He was a talented man and born entrepreneur who started his first business out of his locker in high school. He went on to work for CN before owning many businesses including Cycle One, Design Cycle, Air Fab and SG2. He built custom bikes and organized races at Gimli Drag way.
Jim was known as a character, but was a kind man who was involved in many causes: Ride for Sight, Manitoba Bikers for Education, Toy Drives for the Children's Hospital, SMD, Special Olympics and various animal shelters. He had many hobbies including fishing, photography, welding, cars and always had a project on the go. He loved spending time with his family and was so proud of being a Big Papa.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 DesMeurons Street.
