MARSHALL JOHN HUSKA
June 10, 1942 - February 8, 2022
In the arms of his loving wife Elsie, he called out for Jesus to take him home, took his last breath and said, "I love you" and then he was gone. Dad had been fighting cancer and an infection that eventually took his life at the age of 79 years.
Leaving to cherish his precious memory is his wife, Elsie, of 54 years; sons, Kevin (Adelle), Keith (Donna); grandchildren, Isaiah, Mark, Ezra and Nicholas; siblings, Walter (Violet) and Margaret (Mursel); numerous nephews and nieces. His parents, Milliam and Helen Huska predeceased him.
Dad was born in Grandview, MB and moved to Winnipeg in 1963. He worked at United Grain Growers for 35 years.
Dad was a caring and compassionate person who would give you the shirt off his back. He had a deep faith in God that inspired him to help anyone in need. He listened and cared for everyone he interacted with. His smile and laugh brought joy to everyone around him.
Our family thanks the doctors and nurses at the Selkirk Hospital Cancer Care Centre, Health Sciences Centre and Victoria Hospital where Dad received his care.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Proof of double vaccination is required.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
REST IN PEACE, DAD.

Many years ago, I worked in the Traffic Dept at UGG with Marsh. I was the office stenographer. He was always so nice & friendly. Loved the desserts from you, Elsie, that he brought to work around Christmastime! Am sure I still have one of your recipes. My sincere sympathies to you all. - Posted by: Ruth Rogers (co-worker in Traffic at UGG) on: Mar 05, 2022

Elsie, Kevin, Keith and families - our hearts are breaking for you. Marshall aka Lil Chopper, was a great friend, better neighbour and we considered him a part of our family for the past 20 years. Marshall we miss you already - your smiling face, hearty laugh and your helpful advice. We have many fond memories reminiscing of your life experiences, the foods we all loved (especially those good Ukrainian meals made by your mom and Elsie) and the problems solved during our many garage “meetings”. The Angels in Heaven will sound better now that Marshall has joined the choir!! - Posted by: Steve and Heather (Friend and neighbour) on: Feb 15, 2022
