MARGARET GREER STEPHEN

Margaret Greer Stephen (nee Comack) has left us with a lasting legacy of generosity and spirit. She was born to Hugh and Mary Comack in Glasgow, Scotland on August 12, 1928. She came to Canada as a toddler, settling in Winnipeg with her parents and four siblings, Hugh, James, John, and Mary.
Margaret was a gifted florist. Starting her career at a young age in the flower shop in Hudson Bay, she had exceptional skill and passion; something she possessed throughout her life.
In 1946, she married John "Jack" Albert Stephen. They had three daughters (Marlene, Lynn and Nancy) and a son (David). Margaret and Jack stayed true to their Scottish roots and enjoyed sharing their Scottish heritage with their children.
She loved to be surrounded by friends and family and was host to many famous, "not to be missed", extended Comack family parties. Later in life, Margaret cherished weekly Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings with her beloved children, grandchildren - Marnie (Richard), Glenn, Greg (Aubrey), Aine and John; and great-grandchildren - Fiona, Callum, and Ella.
Margaret passed away February 14, 2022, but she leaves us with a lasting memory of her exceptional courage, humor and personality.
At this time, there will not be a formal service.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity, or cause of choice.
