GERALDINE ELEANOR MACDONALD (nee DENT)
June 17, 1943 - February 14, 2022
It is with profound sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of our mother, Geraldine (Geri) on Valentine's Day. Geraldine was born in Winnipeg on June 17, 1943.
Mom leaves a legacy of love with her daughters, Cindy (Laurie), Kimberly (Donald), Teresa (and family), Tammy (Larry) and her loving son Robert; as well as three grandsons, Nicholas (Cyndle-Lee), Brendyn, Lucas and "little Bentley." Mom is also survived by her sister Nadine; nephew Kevin (Colleen) and niece Tara (Mark) along with their families. Her greatest joy was her newest role of being great-grammie to her "little princess" Natalee.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Argyle and by her loving husband Ed.
She started working at Woolworth's downtown at Portage and Donald and retired at Walmart Polo Park after thirty (30) years of service with the same company in 2009. Mom was a very honest, caring and humble person. She was totally dedicated to her family and all who became part of her life through friendships. Mom's first travel experience would have been both of them going to Las Vegas for their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Various trips were then scheduled to keep Mom busy after Dad's unexpected passing; one of which, was her first Christmas Caribbean Cruise in 2009/10 and various trips to Arizona with family over the years.
A private service and interment will take place on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Viewing of the funeral will be available at:

Our family would like to thank Dr. Sidhu and the Drs. at CancerCare who supported Mom in her cancer journey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
Our hearts are filled with love when thinking of you. It gives us great comfort knowing that Mom and Dad
are together once again.

I am so sorry for your loss, Kim (Don, Brendyn & Lucas). Memories of time spent with Geri will continue to make me smile - from Folklarama to horse racing - she was a joy to spend time with. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. xo - Posted by: Brenda Stewart (Friend) on: Feb 19, 2022
