MARGARET LINDSAY CORDINGLEY
1927 - 2022
It is with deep sadness that our family shares with you the peaceful passing of Margaret Lindsay Cordingley (nee McKenzie), on February 10, 2022, at the Health Sciences Centre.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Margaret McKenzie; her sister Betty Thiele (nee McKenzie) and her loving husband, Basil Cordingley.
Left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are her sons, Robert (Rita) and Jim (Diane); four grandsons, David (Karlee), Dean (Mallory), Brendan (Jade), Andrew (Keianna); four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and an extraordinary group of friends.
Cremation has taken place. At her request, a memorial service will be held in late spring, when the sun is shining and the snow is gone.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

To Margaret's family deeply saddened to see that she passed away. I met Margaret years ago as a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society. I looked forward to catching up personally & professionally after the canvass was done in her building! Margaret was proud to share many many stories and photos of her family here and in the US! Equally proud of her dedicated service to the Women's Canadian Club of Canada. A dear soul! Even after I left the Cancer Society I would offer a wave and a 'hello Margaret' as I drove past her building! With deepest sympathy - wishing you all peace and comfort in the days ahead. It is with the deepest empathy that I offer my condolences to Robert and family, as both of our mothers share space in the obituary section of Saturday’s paper. The grief is strong but only because we were lucky to have wonderful mothers. - Posted by: Irene Nordheim (Friend) on: Feb 21, 2022

Peter and I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to you and the family. Your parents lived next door to us while we lived on Mark Pearce. Your mother in particular was always so positive and encouraging. Our last visit with her was several years ago where she lived on Niakawa Rd. Always well spoken and wise regarding life in general. She was so proud of her “boys” older and younger. Her generation was respectful and insightful. I’m sure she’ll be missed very much by all of you. Throughout many years of my Theatre Group’s (Shoestring Players) affiliation with the Women’s Canadian Club of Winnipeg, of which Margaret was a beloved member, I always enjoyed meeting Margaret and having a word. She was infinitely energetic, cheerful and positive. Our members will be regretful that we will no longer see her at our gatherings. Condolences. - Posted by: Maureen Taggart (Friend) on: Feb 19, 2022
