WASYLYNA (LENA) BAZIUK
(nee OZIRIANSKY)
January 14, 1931 – February 16, 2022
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lena passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the Vita Personal Care Home at the age of 91 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing, daughter Sonia (Raymond) Rudy, son Bill and daughter Lucy, also grandchildren: Dwayne Rudy (Alanna Veness) and Lisa (Shawn) Paluck, as well as great-grandchildren: Alexandra and Nicholas Paluck and Grayson and Logan Rudy. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Mike, all of her siblings, as well as her son-in-law Robert (Bob) McRoberts.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with Very Rev. Fr. Miron Pozniak officiating. There is a capacity limit to the service. All public health orders will be followed and proof of vaccination is required.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Birchwood Funeral Chapel for their kindness, compassion and assistance during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
