DARLENE JANET JAMES
Suddenly on February 25, 2022, Darlene Janet James of Headingley passed away at the Women's Hospital Health Sciences Centre.
Dar was born in Aliston, Ontario on January 14, 1962.
Dar had a great many interests she pursued throughout her life including horse-back riding, cross-country skiing, country music, photography, and art.
In her later life, Dar indulged her love of painting and created many outdoor, still-life, and impressionist scenes, some of which were never finished due to her critical eye and an on-going effort to improve her efforts.
Dar is survived by her husband Ian; her sister-in-law Maureen James; parents, George and Denise Powell; brother George Powell (Diane); sister Debbie Christensen (Mark); nieces, Staci Powell and Dana Christensen (Cole); nephews, Cody Christensen (Justine) and Todd Christensen (Sydney) and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins in the Montreal area.
At the time of her death, Dar was employed by Brydges Property Management as the Vice President Finance.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
