September 22, 1932 - March 6, 2022
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our blessed mom, Doris R. Friesen on March 6, 2022, in her home. It was a blessing to our family to be able to care for our mother in her last days.
She is survived by her six children: Patti (Farley) Fries, Margie (Tom) Curtis, Lori (Randy) Vertone, Carol (Ron) Bachmeier, Kathy (Mark) Peters, David (Vanessa) Friesen, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jessie Giesbrecht and Helen Loewen, and brother-in-law Ron Merriam.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Dave, her parents and two brothers.
Funeral service will be held March 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Mennonite Church, 430 Third St., Steinbach, MB. Public viewing at 1:00 p.m.
Private immediate family interment will be held following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Youth For Christ, Steinbach (Backstage).
