ROBERT (DICK) JOSEPH LAROCQUE
March 26, 1929 - March 6, 2022
Robert "Dick" LaRocque passed away peacefully at 92 years of age at Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface, with devoted friend Michelle Mailhot by his side.
Dick is survived by two sons, Richard (Anne) and Gérald (Brigitte); five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his brother Louis; sisters-in-law Joyce and Denise, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Jeannine; grandson Marc; great-granddaughter Sylvie; and brothers Florian "Stony" and Denis.
Dick will always be remembered as a kind, charitable, and intelligent man with a thirst for knowledge and the patience to share it.
His many passions included camping/canoeing with his young family, stamp collecting, travelling, LaRocque genealogy, gardening, internet searches, Sudoku, puzzles, reading his National Geographic subscriptions, listening to his weather and shortwave radio, and many more.
Dick work at CN where he had a long career.
The family would like to thank St. Boniface Hospital, the staff of Unit 5C at Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface, and Michelle Mailhot for their care of our father.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
