CHARLES (CHUCK) BALMER
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Chuck, on March 3, 2022, at the age of 83.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend for 60 years Carole; sons, Mark, Chris, Jason (Helen); granddaughters, Maeve and Jewel; mother-in-law Burnice Christensen; and his coffee buddy Malibu. Chuck touched a lot of people's lives with his kindness and willingness always to help out. He had so many friends that he kept in touch with and loved getting their emails.
Dad was so proud of his granddaughters, he was always face timing them and sending them gift cards. Chuck loved to build and was always designing his next project. Dad loved being out at our family farm and would often be seen on his golf cart with the next door kids on board. Dad was always there for us and we never wanted for anything. He worked hard his whole life, only to suffer a stroke a few years ago. It didn't slow him down, he just enjoyed spending everyday with Mom. We are going to miss him so much, words cannot describe it.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Kids Cancer Care Alberta to support Camp Kindle.

Our sincere sympathy to Carole and family Chuck was a true friend that we will truly miss. We remember the time in Brandon with both men’s and Friday mixed curling followed by all those card games. Chuck was always ready to lend a hand. Since moving to Winnipeg we have enjoyed sharing stories and getting jokes on email. May your shared happy times sustain you in your time of sorrow.
