DONNA ONESCHUK
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother and best friend, Donna Oneschuk, on March 6, 2022, at River East Personal Care Home at the age of 78.
She will be sadly missed by her loving puppy Kiwi, daughters Tamara (Tammy), Lisa, brother Dennis (Lynda) and family of Owen Sound, ON, several cousins and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Jim of 40 years, brother Neville, and her parents.
In her early years she worked at Eaton's in the catalogue department where she had many happy times. She later married and raised her two beautiful daughters who were her pride and joy. She enjoyed spending quality time with them whether it was going to a movie, concert, out for lunch, chatting over a cup of tea, talking on the phone, or just visiting with them.
She preferred to keep to herself and liked watching her TV shows; Price is Right, Young and the Restless and her favourite programs on the Food Network.
She was a very kind, caring and giving lady who was always proud of her Ukrainian heritage.
She enjoyed getting to know all her friends and staff at River East Personal Care Home over the years and enjoyed listening to their stories and the events in their lives which were always shared. She was often described as cute and always had a smile on her face, and especially liked when Kiwi came to visit.
Her daughters would like to thank the health care team at River East (Faith Lane), who made her stay more enjoyable and a home for her, and for their care, kindness, and compassion.
She touched the hearts of many and anyone who knew her; she will be sadly missed by all.
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers. A private interment will be held.

I am so sorry to learn of Donna's passing She was truly a beautiful human being, very kind and always with a smile on her face. Although we had lost touch over the years every so often we would touch base and laugh about the good old times we shared. She was an old friend and will be missed. My deepest condolences to Tammy and Lisa. Joyce Miller - Posted by: Joyce Miller (Friend) on: Mar 12, 2022
