IRENE FISHER
(nee WORKMAN)
June 1, 1922 March 23, 2022
It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irene on March 23, 2022.
Irene is survived by her loving son Bruce; daughter-in-law Sharon; granddaughter Teri (Stan Mitchell); grandsons Chase, Mason and Hayden Fisher; great-granddaughter Emma; sister Shirley Berard, and nieces and nephews.
Irene was predeceased by her parents Janet and Richard Workman; husband Arthur; son Brian; infant grandson Mark; grandson Michael; infant brother Roy; brothers Robert (Jean) and Thomas (Joyce), and brother-in-law Armand Berard.
Irene was born in Winnipeg moving to the R.M. of Springfield at 12 years of age. After her marriage, she moved to B.C. living there until 18 years ago when she moved back to Winnipeg.
Irene was a very loving, kind, generous, hard-working person. Family was her whole life there was nothing she wouldn't do for them and expected nothing in return. She was an exceptional housekeeper, a gourmet cook and an avid gardener. Beautiful crocheting and knitting were also one of her many talents. There was nothing she enjoyed more than preparing a big meal and then a good game of crib.
She will be so missed and will live in our hearts forever with love.
A graveside service will take place at a later date in Vernon, B.C.
