MILDRED NELLIE WELCH
1931 – 2022
After living a full life, it is with great sadness that Nellie (formerly of Thunder Bay) passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on April 1, 2022 at the Oakview Place Personal Care Home.
She was predeceased by her husband William James Welch, her daughter Cynthia Gibson, and sisters, Jennie and Minnie.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Donna Coley (Emerson) and Debra Phillips (Jim); son-in-law Barry Gibson and sisters, Olga, Stella and Sylvia.
She also leaves to mourn her passing five grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Gibson, Blaine (Maria) Gibson, Jay (Jess) Coley, Kyle (Karman) Phillips and Breanna (Frank) Robinson; and her four great-grandchildren, Julia, Ayla, Amy and Keira.
In accordance with Mom's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held.
Mom's note to her family:
Remember in your heart, your thoughts, and your memories of times we shared and loved. The times we cried, the times we fought, and the times we laughed, for if you always think of me I will never be gone.
Love Mom.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oakview for their love, care and compassion they showed to Mom.
