FELSTEAD: Nadeen Lee Felstead (nee Pilon) Brandon, Manitoba. October 5, 1947 – March 30, 2022 With profound sorrow we announce the death of our wife and mother, Nadeen, after a brief battle with cancer. From giving challenged adults the skills needed for a career in the culinary arts, to laying a foundation of dental health for a generation of students, to building the framework non-profit organizations need to grow and succeed, our wife and mother was a strong woman who left a legacy of good works and opportunities everywhere we lived. Left to mourn our loss and rejoice in our memories are her husband of 49.5 years, Rick; son, Ryan (Janis); daughter, Lindsay; cousins: Pat (Curt), Carol and Sheila; the Lunch Ladies and others in the community who came to know her no-nonsense way of living life with strength, dignity and a certainty of direction. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Darrin Nichols and the palliative care staff at the Assiniboine Centre. A private memorial and interment were held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations to Palliative Manitoba, 2109 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 0L3 and the Brandon Humane Society, 2200 17 St E, Brandon, MB, R7A 7M6 are much appreciated.
