GARRY LEROY WILLEMS
December 1932 – April 2022

On April 6, 2022 Garry, son of the late Otto and Mabel Willems, died at the age of 89.
He was predeceased by his son Scott and brothers-in-law, Edward Shearer and Stuart Mann.
Left to hold his memory in their hearts are his wife of 64 years, Lorna, son Paul (Stephanie), sister Yvonne, sister-in-law Reta, granddaughters, Jillian (David), Lauren (Darrell), and Kess, and great-grandson Dallas.
Garry grew up and attended school in Watrous/Manitou Beach, Saskatchewan. At the age of 22, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and was a navigator. When his short term enlistment was complete, he left with the rank of Flying Officer.
In 1958, he married his love, Lorna, and they began their beautiful life together.
Garry worked as a chemical metering equipment agent in the water industry
Lorna and Garry enjoyed their cottage on Lee River with their sons and were happy to later share it with their grandchildren too. He would spend many nights on the dock, star gazing. He had many hobbies, including weather watching and winemaking.
Lorna and Garry loved to travel and especially enjoyed their winter vacations in California and Mexico as well as golf vacations in Arizona and Texas.
Garry the husband, father and grandfather was loved by all for his kindness and strength.

"That person is a success,
Who has lived well, laughed often and loved much;
Who has gained respect of intelligent people and the love of children,
Who leaves the world better than he
found it." RLS
