WILLIAM ARTHUR (ART) DERRY
May 6, 1934 - March 15, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, of our beloved father and grandfather.
Art was predeceased by his wife Margaret in June of 2014, father and mother Lyle and Jean Derry, father and mother-in-law John and Alice McDonald, brothers-in-law, Donald McDonald and Emile Lavoie. He leaves to mourn his children, Lyle and Lexie Derry, Allan Derry, Brenda and Jim Davidson, grandchildren, Derek and Julia Davidson, sister Patricia Lavoie, sister-in-law Elaine McDonald, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Art cared deeply for his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandpa always ensuring that everyone was doing well and offering his wisdom, support and love. He cherished his grandchildren, enjoying many special memories during their summer visits to Traverse Bay with Gramma and Grampa Derry.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Church with Rev. Fr. Darrin J. G. Gurr presiding (15 Columbia Dr., Winnipeg). A reception will follow the liturgy. ASL interpretation provided by ECCOE.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Art`s memory can be made to Diabetes Canada.
