MAFALDA DOTOLO
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mafalda Dotolo on Sunday, April 24, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Carminio, in 2006; to cherish her loving memory, Mafalda will be greatly missed by daughters, Teresa (Tony) and Silvana, grandchildren, Sebastian (Danielle), Giovanni (Tash), Alexandria (Andrew), Carmen (Alecia), Gabriella (Brett), brother Alfredo, sister-in-law Rosina (Domenico), brothers-in-law, Tonino (Maria), Pietro and numerous nieces and nephews here and overseas.
Mom came to Canada in 1957 from Reggio Calabria, Italy and married the love of her life, Carminio, on October 12, 1957. Together they built a beautiful life and home for their family. As her family grew, the dinner table got bigger. She loved entertaining her family and friends with lots of great food. Nonna will always be remembered as a very devoted mom and Nonna. She was kind and patient and would always listen to someone's problems. She always encouraged us to look on the bright side of life, even when things were difficult. She will be sadly missed. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish Church, 510 River Avenue with Fr. Sam Argenziano as the Celebrant. Condolences will be held between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley Street. The family would like to thank the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre who helped Mom during this time.
