ADELINE (DEL) RITCHIE
It is with heavy hearts that we share the notice of the loss of Del Ritchie who passed away peacefully on April 6, 2022.
Del was predeceased by her husband Alex and their son Raymond. She leaves behind two sons, Grant and Paul, their wives, Marjie and Pamela, four granddaughters, Kristi, Marlee, Laura and Nicole together with their husbands and six great-grandchildren. There are also many nieces and nephews left to remember her.
Born in Komarno, Manitoba and raised in Winnipeg she attended Gordon Bell High School after which she worked at the Wheat Board and later at Sears in Polo Park. She volunteered with CancerCare Manitoba for many years and was an active member of McClure United Church. The closeness with special friends throughout her life remained an important time for her.
Del was especially fond of her summers spent at their cottage at Whytewold, on Lake Winnipeg with her husband, sons and later with her grandchildren.
No floral tributes please. If friends wish, donations may be made in remembrance of Del to Misericordia Place, 44 Furby Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 2A1.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Rest now mom. You will be so missed.
