JEAN-MARIE (JOHN) BERTHELETTE
John Berthelette passed away on April 24, 2022 in his home, surrounded by the people he loved, after a hard fought battle with cancer.
John was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 22, 1949 to the late Albert Berthelette and Madeleine Berthelette (nee Brodeur) and was the youngest of three children. He grew up in St. Adolphe, Manitoba.
John loved his family and his numerous animals over the years. He was a long haul trucker across Canada and the US and he was a skilled renovator/carpenter. He also has a talent in sports including being a champion archer, great tennis player, hockey player and golfer. He used to race his Chevy Beaumont on the ¼ mile track in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. He was a huge Jets and Packers fan!
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Berthelette (nee Reimer); daughter Jennifer Berthelette; his sister Lorraine Ross (William); sister-in-law Sharon Trudel (Roger); pups, Bruno and Buster; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. John was sadly predeceased by his older brother Rene Berthelette (June) in February 2022.
Funeral will be held at Desjardins Funeral Home on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
The family wishes all guests to wear masks.

My condolences to Shirley & daughter Jennifer! I just recently came across John’s’ obituary, I was thinking of you all after your cousin, Darlene Vanderlip had recently passed! Remembering when myself & Gary, Darlene& George, you & John would get together at Eva & Dennis’ house! So long ago! Just wanted to say, Sorry for your loss, God Bless you and share his memories!
