GREGORY JOHN WARREN
April 15, 1955 April 26, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gregory John Warren. Greg passed away suddenly on April 26, 2022, with family by his side. Greg had an incredibly big heart that gave all it could until the very end.
He is survived by his children: Robert (Sarah), Andrew and Jacqueline; grandson Logan; former spouse Deborah Warren; best fur friend Chloe; siblings: Barbara Marrese (Ron) and Brian (Tammy) and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents: Eileen and John; sister Christine and brother James
Greg was born in Winnipeg and from a young age had a love for all things adventure. He played hockey in the WHL for the Winnipeg Jets club, but had the most fun on the ice coaching his sons. Greg got his pilot's license in the mid 1970s, became an airline transport pilot and worked in numerous facets of the industry including instructing, bush, airline and corporate flying. He flew all over the world and came home with wild stories to regale you with. Greg was happiest flying his family in a Cessna float plane up to northern lakes for off the grid fishing trips.
Above all, Greg was most proud of his family. He had a huge heart full of kindness and laughs, and would do all he could for those closest to him.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Boniface Hospital Emergency Department and ICU for their kindness and support in this challenging time.
Cremation has taken place. Per Greg's wishes, a small Celebration of Life with friends and family will occur.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.

Very sad to hear of Greg’s passing. I worked with Greg at MGM sports many years ago. Greg also played hockey with me in the Southeast hockey league. While working with Greg I watched him get his private pilot license, then commercial and then on to tourist camp flying and eventually Perimeter and medi-vac. He was very good at everything he did. He also introduced me to the latest music of the time e.g Supertramp and The Eagles. Condolences to the Warren family. RIP Greg. - Posted by: Brian Dyck (Friend ) on: May 07, 2022

I will remember Greg from all the stories his brother (my best friend) Jim, who always talked about Greg's interesting life. I got to get to know Greg when he moved back home with mom and Jim. I am happy Greg, Jim are back with mom. - Posted by: Jerry Pugh (Family friends ) on: May 01, 2022

Flew with Greg back in the 70s and 80s. Very capable pilot, and good guy to be on the road with. Have a lot of good memories. - Posted by: Ric Willems (Friend) on: Apr 30, 2022
