Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • Carol was a great soul. Although I only met her when she came into care, I truly enjoyed her. It was a pleasure to interact with her at HLPCH. I enjoyed every bit of time I spent with her. Raylene - Posted by: Raylene (Care giver) on: May 25, 2022

  • Dave, Steven and Donna, I send you my deepest sympathies. Some of my favourite memories are the many Mandzuik camping trips we took when I was a child, and more often than not, the Bruces were there with us. I’ll never forget Carol’s warm, welcoming smile, her love of family, and her allowing us kids to sneak into her camper for some delicious homemade baked treats. She always made us feel safe and seen. She’ll be greatly missed. - Posted by: Kelli Mandzuik (Family friend) on: May 03, 2022

  • Our sincere sympathy to you - Dave, Donna and Steven. Many memories of stopping by at your place at Headingley on the way to Winnipeg. • David, Donna, Steve, my deepest condolences. Carol was a wonderful person. She had the greatest green thumb for her Christmas cactus, I was always impressed to see them blooming all year long. She was a firecracker, never had time to sit, always something to do. Unless it was her word find/cross word books/ crafts/ knitting… I love you Momma Carol, time to rest. - Posted by: Agnes (My second Momma) on: Apr 30, 2022

  • My condolences to Dave, Donna and Steven. I remember Carol for her very warm and welcoming smile every time we met. Back in the early 80’s when John was working out of town so much she was such a welcomed presence in my life by including me in her bingo nights, etc. As difficult as these last few years have been, her presence will always be missed. Thinking of you all. - Posted by: Barbara Larkin (Past neighbour ) on: Apr 30, 2022
