PAULINE FAUCHER
(nee GROUETTE)

September 19, 1933 – April 28, 2022

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that Pauline's family announces her peaceful passing on April 28, 2022, after several years of valiantly battling serious medical issues.
Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband Leo in 1992 and by her brother Alain Grouette and her sister Evelyn Pattyn.
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her four daughters - Suzanne (Glenn Hall), Michelle (Denis Zaste), Lise (Norm Koltucky), Nicole (Gerry Howe), ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pauline is also survived by her brother Leo Grouette (with whom she had a close bond) and nieces and nephews.
Mom enjoyed her time working and living at L'Accueil Colombien where she made many long-time friends. Her passion for card games and weekly Bingo always brightened her day which gave her the nickname "Memere Bingo".
Everyone who knew Mom was fortunate to receive her love and generosity, which she shared through her love of baking.
Mom loved to travel and explore with Dad with Hawaii being one of their favourite trips.
Her love of golf was also something she shared with a lot of us even though she would often request "a redo".
Knitting was also a great hobby of hers which all of her grandchildren were recipients of many creative items.
Mom's strong faith carried her through good and bad times throughout her life.
We thank Actionmarguerite St. Vital for the excellent care Mom received - she was so happy to be there.
In keeping with Mom's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. We know that all who knew her will celebrate her life through memories of her.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Tante Pauline était l'amie la plus proche ainsi que la belle-soeur de ma mère Simone. Mes sympathies les plus sincères à Léo et à toute sa famille. - Posted by: Annette Duguay-Bruce (Amie) on: May 08, 2022

- Posted by: Annette Bonomo (cousin) on: May 07, 2022

  • Denise and I would like to express our sincere condolences to Pauline's family. She was always so friendly and welcoming to us as children and as we grew and were friends with Nicole, Michelle and Glen, Lise and Norm, that never changed. A wonderful lady who will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Paul and Denise Leveque (Father's cousin) on: May 07, 2022
