FLORENCE MARY FRASER
September 26, 1924 - April 29, 2022
Florence Fraser (nee McFeetors) passed away peacefully on April 29, 2022.
She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Bowles (Bruce), son David (Carol), son Robert (Lori); grandchildren, Bradley (Jenn), Bob (Jane) and Jamie Bowles, Aynsley Kiernicki (Ryan), and Andrew Fraser (Danielle), Leum and Charlie Fraser; great-grandchildren, Jack and Lucas Kiernicki and Reagan Fraser.
Florence was raised on a farm near Rossburn, Manitoba, later moving to Winnipeg where she worked for the Canadian Wheat Board. She made many friends and enjoyed spending time with them at the Winnipeg Canoe Club. She met her husband Glen at the Clear Lake Dance Hall and, after they were married, they raised their family in Norwood. She was an active member of Norwood United Church and Toastmasters. She enjoyed playing Bridge, which she and Glen played for many years with their own group and the church group. Florence and Glen were thrilled to build a cottage at their beloved Clear Lake, where they enjoyed 30 years of lake life with family and friends.
Florence loved to paint, and her family is happy to have many of her beautiful paintings gracing their walls. She and Glen also enjoyed their annual winter getaway to Scottsdale, Arizona, where their days were filled with golf, dinner parties, and happy hours with friends and family.
Above all, Florence loved her family and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was an amazing cook and her family loved coming for Sunday family dinners. Delicious food and laughter was the hallmark of family gatherings. She was a thoughtful sister and always stayed connected to her large extended family.
She will be dearly missed but we will forever cherish and remember all the special times we shared together over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
