GUY DOUVILLE
August 2, 1943 - May 1, 2022
After many years of illnesses and surgeries, Guy passed away suddenly and peacefully with Julie, his loving wife of 55 years, at his side.
Besides his wife, left to cherish his memory are his mother, Alice Valcourt, 98; his sister Paulette (Stu); brother Jean-Claude (Lynn); and his two nieces, Renee Douville (Derek Foreman) and Josette Northcott (Danny); and two grandnephews, Felix and Martin; as well as his best and dear friend, Wayne Hoard. The Boone family will also miss and fondly remember the many happy times on the farm.
In his teenage years Guy enjoyed visiting his grandfather on the farm and uncles in Ponteix, Saskatchewan. He studied in Toronto and graduated as an electronic technologist. He worked at the Pinawa Nuclear Research Station, further studied electrical engineering, and established his business, Anadec. Following that, he pursued his love of farming and with his wife purchased an acreage northeast of Anola where he raised Charolais cattle. Guy cherished the two remaining horses and companion border collie, Pip. The Douville family assisted him in all his endeavours.
He has been described as an amazing man who could fix almost anything, a hard worker, a dreamer, and with his engineering background, a detailed planner. Guy was very passionate about music and escaped pain listening to his favourite artists. He also enjoyed discussing different topics.
As his health deteriorated, Guy found it difficult to complete all his projects.
A combined Easter family get together and Celebration of Life is set for May 7. It's so wonderful that he was able to help and plan the Easter event and unknowingly his own celebration of life at the same time.
