WILLIAM PETER GRAHAM

William Peter Graham of Winnipeg passed away on April 29, 2022 at St. Boniface Hospital.
William was born on January 27, 1925 to William and Rose Graham. He was raised in Winnipeg with his sister Eleanor. As soon as he was old enough he joined the R.C.N.V.R in the Second World War and served in the North Atlantic on convoy escort. In 1946 he joined the Winnipeg Fire Department retiring in 1986 as Chief Fire Prevention Officer.
Throughout his life, Bill enjoyed all sports including bowling and skeet. He had a lifetime commitment to golf and curling which he participated in until most recent years. The outdoors always provided enjoyment whether it be camping, fishing, hunting or just appreciating what mother nature provided. Bill and Eleanor enjoyed travel and many vacations including California, Texas, Hawaii and Australia to name a few.
William is survived by his wife of 74 years Eleanor; daughter Kathy Tynes (Evan);
son-in-law Douglas Boyce; grandchildren, Amanda Boyce, Jennifer Boyce and Cherise Tynes; great-grandchildren, Daynen, Daley, Akeira and Aria; nieces and nephews Ken, Bob, Valerie, Joanne and Rosemary.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Rose Graham, son Richard, daughter Marilyn Boyce and sister Eleanor Vickets.
A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cancer Care Manitoba.
