(née VAN DE KERCKHOVE)
Peacefully at the Notre Dame Health Centre on Sunday, May 15, 2022, Mrs. Lorraine Bahuaud passed away at the age of 82 years.
She leaves to mourn her children, Donald (Estelle) Bahuaud, Kenneth (Eveline) Bahuaud, Darlene (Edward) Grenier, Karen (Ron) Melnychuk, Mark (Betty) Bahuaud and Marina (Mark) Greenwood; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Leanne Bahuaud (Aurora), Michael (Jessica) Bahuaud (Ruby and Oscar); Chantelle (Chris) McAlpine (Mason and Wyatt), Kelsey (Corey) Singbeil (Mairead and Bryce); Janine, Alcide (Kenzie-Dawn) and Christian (Josée); Melissa (Chris) Hornby (Natalie and Felix), Amie Melnychuk (Paul Skinner) (Maëlle and Dale); Patrick (Delia) and Amanda (Braden); Kayleen Legal (Luc Pelletier) (Ryder and Treven) and Brett Legal (Ronnie). She is also survived by her sister Laurette Labossiere, sister-in-law Cecile Granger, her aunt Mary Van De Kerckhove, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Hervé Bahuaud, parents, Armand and Martha (née Van Cauwenberghe) Van De Kerckhove; parents-in-law, Ferdinand and Bernadette (née Lemaux) Bahuaud; brother Robert Van De Kerckhove; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil Labossiere, Roland (Léa) Bahuaud, Adrienne (Antoine) Payette, Fernande (Henri) Espenell, Bertrand Bahuaud, Robert (Mary) Bahuaud, Hector (Cecile) Bahuaud, Lauraine (Douglas) Lea and Percy Granger.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Notre Dame de la Nativité Roman Catholic Church in Somerset, Manitoba. Memorial service at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Paulin Akpapupu officiating.

I enjoyed several conversations with Mrs. Bahuaud at family events over the years. She truly listened, asking questions for clarification or to extend the conversation. She seemed open-minded and curious during those talks...leaning in with facial expressions that reflected the intensity of the topic. I enjoyed seeing her smile and the occasional little chuckle. There is no doubt that she loved her family and was devoted to her husband. Our condolences to all of Lorraine’s families and friends of her passing. Herve and Lorraine were dedicated parents who raised a beautiful family and were very active in Somerset with everything they participated in.
