• For several years, Ron and I served on the Manitoba School Library Association Executive. Not only was he our conscientious treasurer, but also provided the committee with sound ideas for teacher-librarian advocacy. His positive attitude and sense of humour made committee work fun and enjoyable. Ron, his friend, Roland, and I drove to Moose Jaw together to attend a teacher-librarian conference. The drive flew by as Ron and Roland shared amusing stories of their early teaching days. I look back to those committee years with such fondness, in no small part due to Ron. He always spoke of Yvonne with great love and was so proud of the beautiful home and the life they had built.
