NOELLA BERNADETTE CANCADE
December 29, 1932 - June 10, 2022

It is with deep sadness that the family of Noella Cancade (nee Laramee) announce her passing on June 10, 2022. Mom passed away peacefully at Misericordia Hospital at the age of 89 years.
Noella was one of 13 children born to Edmond and Louise Laramee. She married Paul Cancade in 1952 and the couple settled in St. Boniface where they operated the Red and White Store on St. Joseph Street for several years. They later moved to Norwood and then to Windsor Park where they raised their three children.
Mom's greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her Christian faith was a central focus of her life.
Noella is survived by Paul; her children, Richard, Suzanne (John) and Mike (Candice); grandchildren, David, Michael, Melissa (Evan) and Nicole (Justin), as well as her siblings, Terry Novak (Alex), Joe Laramee (Rose), and numerous nephews, nieces and in-laws.
Her funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg. Masks will be required to attend the funeral service.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My memory of Aunt Noella are the hours long phone calls she would have with my Mom. It was amazing to me that two people could spend so much time on the phone every week, sometimes more than once a week! When I think of Aunty Noella, will always remember her kind and very gentle demeanor. She was a lovely aunt. Our condolences to you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love Charles and wife Sonia. - Posted by: Charles Andrew Novak (Nephew) on: Jun 16, 2022

  • Auntie Noella was a very kind and sweet lady.On the rare occasion whenever I met her at a family gathering or randomly in Winnipeg, she would look me in the eye and listen very sincerely and intently to what I had to say, even when I was a child. She will be missed. - Posted by: Celeste (Cindy) Taylor (Niece) on: Jun 16, 2022
