October 13, 1932 - June 15, 2022
At 89 years old she blessed us with love and happiness. She remained strong through all of life's ups and downs. Her parents Jack and Bridget O'Neill raised a family of eight children Robert, Frances, Annie, John, Denis, Henry, Angela, Carmel, in an apartment in Dublin Ireland. Life was filled with love and laughter, hard work, and the simplicity of life.
She met and married the love of her life, Denis Patrick Grehan, and for 65 years shared a strong bond and many adventures. Shortly after their marriage in 1953, they moved to England as Dad got a job building houses after the war. Mom returned to Ireland in 1955 where Eric was born. Colette came along in 1960, she being born in England. The real adventures began as they moved on to London, Ontario Canada in 1965. They flourished making a new life, but the bonds remained and over the years had many family visit from Ireland and Australia, they also returned to Ireland many times over the years. Mom and Dad loved to travel and as Eric joined the military the opportunities grew, Kingston, Germany, Cold Lake, Alaska, Winnipeg. Colette also moved around the province, Sault Ste Marie, Stratford, Ottawa. Their camping adventures were highlights as they met great friends along the way from Bayfield to Florida, Texas to Chicago, north to Red Lake, enjoying the great outdoors!
Eventually the family swelled to five generations! Dad's passing in 2019 was a hurt that never dulled for Mom. But she continued on a journey in life, surrounding herself with the family that she loved. Our hearts break at her loss, but the memories fill our hearts to the brim. RIP Mom!
