LYNN CHRISTINE HALBERT
(nee EYOLFSON)
May 4, 1947 - June 16, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Lynn Halbert, on June 16, 2022 at Middlechurch Home at the age of 75.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and John, brother Jerry, sisters, Mildred, Eileen, and Betty. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Arleigh, sons, Cory (Deanna) and Chris, grandchildren, Ashton and Makayla; sisters, Ruth, Linda, and Barb; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom and Dad were married on May 20, 1972 and spent the next 50 years in Winnipeg raising their two boys. Lynn worked as a hairdresser before starting her career at the Museum of Man and Nature, where she stayed until she retired in 2008.
Mom loved watching sports, especially soccer - first her children's, then her grandchildren's. Saturdays were spent with the girls. You could find Mom shopping, going for lunch, and spending time with her sisters, her best friends.
Travel was something Mom enjoyed, from soccer trips to Regina, Grand Forks, and Charlottetown, to days on the beach in Mexico. Lynn spent two years in Australia with her sister Linda and cherished the time spent together.
Lynn loved camping and the family shares many happy memories of the time spent at Bird's Hill, St. Malo, and Falcon Lake.
She also enjoyed knitting and the family will cherish the blankets and slippers she has made for them.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynn's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.

It was my pleasure to work with Lynn for several years at The Manitoba Museum. As a front-line person, she represented the Museum very well to the public with her warm, friendly and helpful personality. She was appreciated and well-liked by everyone on staff, and spoke of her family with love. My deepest condolences. - Posted by: Joyce Moroz (former co-worker) on: Jun 27, 2022

I was given opportunity to hear details of what a wonderful mother Lynn was, and how much she loved her family. I know she was loved back. I could not imagine what a huge loss this is for the family. I send my sincere condolences to the family - Posted by: Kelly (Friend) on: Jun 26, 2022
