1933 – 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ann Bednar on June 16, 2022.
Ann was born December 10, 1933, in Arbakka, Manitoba.
She lived near Vita, Manitoba all her life where she farmed with her husband. In addition to being an excellent cook and an avid gardener, she was an accomplished award-winning painter. She created works of art in oil, acrylic and watercolours.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank and sisters Mary and Jenny.
She is survived by her brothers: John Jaman, Morris Jaman, George Jaman; her sister Elsie Smook; her children: Gayle Gerbrandt (Marvin), Norman Bednar (Olga), Neil Bednar (Dorothy); her grandchildren: Myles Gerbrandt (Cindy), Curtis Gerbrandt (Cassie), Bradley Gerbrandt (Renee), Alexandrea Bednar and her great-grandchildren Margaret, Harrison, Sophie and Isidora Gerbrandt.
Thank you to the excellent home care team, the palliative care team, Dr.s Gosselin and Cook and Silver Linings who provided loving care for her last months.
A funeral was held at Korban Funeral Chapel in Vita on June 22nd at 3 pm.
