Our Matriarch has gone to be with the Lord. Surrounded by family, Anita peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the beautiful age of 94. She is survived by her children; Gerald (Kathy), Pat (Murray) and Pauline and her grandchildren, Gilbert (Brittany), Danielle (Derik), Kayla, Justin, Kaitlin (Chris), Jason, Tyler (Kristen), Chantelle, Hailey (Todd) and Jeremy and 6 amazing little great-grandchildren Mila, Parker, Mason, Cameron, Basia and Nora.
She was predeceased by her loving husband in 2011, Raymond Cyr, and lived those years afterwards keeping his memory and honour alive. She is also predeceased by her bother Jules and his wife Marie-Ange Desautels, her sister Simone Comeault, her sisters-in-law Lucienne and Marguerite Desautels, her brother-in-law Alain Remillard. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers Ephrem and Ernest Desautels, her sister Irma Remillard and especially her brother-in-law Marcel Comeault who checked in on her so often and always made sure her mail was delivered to her chair. And a big you to our beautiful large Cyr family for always including Mom as their sister. Your phone calls and visits always brightened her day; Marcel (Amy), Ella, Lucille, Agnes (Zeke), Paul, Louis (Sandra) and Rollie (Marilyn) and forever grateful to Matante Helene for everything, we mean everything you've done for Mom. The list far too long to include.
Mom was the most wonderful, loving and caring person that you could ever meet. The example she set as a wife, mother and grandmother are what we strive to be today. There was always enough to feed whoever arrived and always had the time for a call or a visit. In her wake, she leaves an imprint on us to be caring to and for one another and to always keep your family near; encourage each other and celebrate milestones, however big. She was so so proud of all her family.
Thank you to Sandra Delorme and Jackie Petit McCormack for all their support and a special thanks to her kindred spirit and wonderful friend Marg Diehl for all the years of laughter and memories. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Alzheimer's Society or a charity of your choice.

The funeral will be held at 11a.m. Monday, July 4, 2022 at la Paroisse Notre Dame de la Misericorde, Ile des Chenese, MB

Nos insincères condoléances à la famille d'Anita. On garde de très bons souvenirs d'Anita qui a fait la garde de nos trois enfants à Ile des Chênes soit chez nous ou dans sa maison. Une grande dame qui a été une vraie maman pour nos enfants. Nous penson à vous très souvent et gardons de tres bons souvenirs de ces années. My heart is fuller knowing Anita. She had a special light that shone on everyone she knew. I will remember the gratefulness each and every time I would share something I had baked or meal I would share. I will miss her huge smile when she would open her door.
