RONALD LEDOYEN
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ron LeDoyen on June 4, 2022 at the age of 76.
Ron is survived by his wife Yvonne Genest LeDoyen; his sisters, Magdeliene (Maggie) Nishimura, Margaret Prefontaine, Lucille Ledoyen and Cecille (Sis) Thomas Moore. Ron is also survived by brothers-in-law, Paul (Orfilia), Raymond (Sharon); and sister-in-law Lorraine Pantel (Léo), as well as many nephews and nieces. He will also be missed by Carine, Stephane, Martin and Amanda with whom he had a very special bond. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Adolphe and Sally LeDoyen.
Born in St. Boniface Ron attended Provencher School and Collège Universitaire de St Boniface. He received a Masters degree in English Literature at San Jose State College in California and a Masters of Education at the University of Manitoba. Ron truly enjoyed teaching for over 30 years until his retirement in 2006.
Since retirement Ron has enjoyed spending time at the cottage at Albert Beach, travelling the world with Yvonne and having good times with family and friends.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held at the Norwood Hotel, 112 Marion Street on July 21 at 2:00 p.m.
