My sincere sympathy to June and families. Garth Stenson (Gowler/ Stenson) - Posted by: Garth Stenson (Cousin to June) on: Aug 14, 2022
I remember Gerald well from memories living in Winnipeg and attending church with him. He was a beaming light to all he met. There was one winter when it was close to Christmas and as I was going for a walk. He came driving by with a christmas tree stuck in his car trunk, Stopping he invited me to come along for a cup of coffee. May I offer my condolences to family and friends!!! Our condolences go to the Reimer family. I was employed at Reimer Express for 29 years. I enjoyed visiting with Mr. Gerald Reimer, when he came to the dock. In the last 10 years or so that I worked there, I and a friend joined some of the head office staff for weekly devotionals, where I got to know Mr. Reimer on a personal level. May God comfort you during this time of sorrow. John Klassen - Posted by: John Klassen (Employee) on: Jul 18, 2022
Every week when we met at CBMC I challenged, encouraged, inspired, motivated and grew deeper in my walk with the Lord. Thank you Gerald - Posted by: Art Alexander (Friend and CBMC connection ) on: Jul 16, 2022
Gerald Reimer was committed to the kingdom of God. That inspired his multiple contributions to life in this world. One of those was to serve as chair of Winnipeg Bible College for twenty years. Under his leadership the education of young people at the college, now Providence University College and Theological Seminary, thrived, though he was the guiding hand through crises that should have ended the life of the Institution. As president it was my privilege to be engaged with Gerald and his brother Donald. Reimer Express became one of the nationally influential businesses of Manitoba. The Student Life Center at Providence is dedicated to Gerald. But my fondest memory is going with him to a Bombers game. I experienced his optimistic spirit that always finds a way, his passion for the Bombers and his love of ice cream. Gerald was one of those rare spirits that brought hope wherever he would go. This was inspired by his profound hope found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is now absent from the body but present with his Lord and has heard the words "well done thou good and faithful servant." - Posted by: AUGUST KONKEL (Friend of the Family) on: Jul 16, 2022

We are saddened to hear of Gerald's passing but grateful for feeling the impact his life has made. Gerald & June and their family have been long time customers at our restaurant who became just like family! No matter what life trials Gerald would be up against you would never know it as he was always upbeat and jovial with a smile on his face and gratitude in his heart. He was always genuinely interested in how you were doing and always asked about your family. It didn't matter if you were a hostess, a busser, a server or an owner, Mr. Reimer treated everyone with the same genuine care and concern. Even during the challenges and restrictions of COVID Mr. Reimer's loyalty remained with his consistent take-out orders! His faith and trust in God was clearly evident in the way he loved and lived his life and we are all a little bit brighter from having known him. Our sincere condolences to June and all of his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly and was extremely proud of. Gerald always reminded me he was the same age as my late husband Ken and he and June were married the day our son was born. When I think of Gerald he was someone who was always welcoming and interested in you and in your family. I have been praying for June, Darcy, Sherry and their families plus his brothers and Grace and their families. A godly man has gone to be with His Heavenly father. May his life and testimony continue to win others. Continuing in prayers and wishing God's loving arms holding you close.
